Backward Class Commission Chairman Jayaprakash Hegde inaugurates Karnataka Ursu Mahamandali Charitable Trust.

Karnataka Ursu Maha Mandali Charitable Trust was inaugurated on Wednesday,15th Feb 2023, at 110-year-old Sri Venugopal Swamy Temple Premises (Heritage Sbha Mantap) by Sri Jayaprakash Hegde, Chairman for Backward Class Commission, who was also a Minister in Karnataka Government and responsible for the formation of Udupi District by Lighting Traditional Lamp and unfurling the Banner. He also opened the Trust Web by switching on the icon "kumuctrust.org".

Responding to the felicitation, Jayaprakash Hegde recalled the initiatives taken by Maharaja Nalwadi Krishna Raj Wadeyar and former CM Late Devaraj Urs through the Havanur Commission for the elevation of Backward Classes. He assured the gathering of Ursus that he would recommend a political reservation for Ursus. He further said he was happy to visit 110-year-old Sri Krishna Temple and praised the beauty of the Idols of Sri Krishna with Rukmini Devi & Satyabama as a rare sight. President Sridhara Raj Urs, speaking on the occasion, said that the inauguration by a very clean politician Sri Hegde, augers well for the trust. He promised to devote the rest of his life to realising the Trust's AIMS and objectives and sought everybody's cooperation. Smt. Suma Urs rendered invocation. MGR Urs welcomed and Secretary Y. M. Kiran Urs thanked all for the success of the function.
